I just want to write & read Kara. Never can get enough of her as the focus. So I vote...Kara-centric!
(I'm a bit confused about the term 'gen' as it relates to Kara-gen & Non-gen?)

See my comments above but basically gen fic means primary focus is Kara (or another lady) and not a romAntic pairing. (there can be moments of shippiness in the fic but the greater theme/focus needs to be on Kara herself). It should focus on her triumphs and achievements, her setbacks or failures, her family ties or friendships. She could show off her prowess as top gun, go on a quest, make an unlikely bond with someone, or learn something about herself. You could show us Kara's first week on Galactica, her experience stepping in as flight instructor on Pegasus, what happened to her when she died or poofed, a past or future life for her, kara through the eyes of one of her nuggets, etc. Yes, Kara-centric crossovers or AUs are just fine. :)
