I'll add Thea Gilmore to the P!nk association (especially "This Girl is Taking Bets" and "Mainstream"); she reminds me of Kara's more self-aware inner adult, or something like that. ;-) I tend to associate folk rock or just plain rock with Kara, regardless of whether I'm thinking of Starbuck or Kara (they're the same?)
As for individual songs... "Life is a Highway" by Rascal Flatts, "Invincible" by Skillet, "Carry On Wayward Son" by Kansas, "Dark Waltz" by Hayley Westenra, "O Death" by Jem Titus, "I'm Like a Bird" by Nelly Furtado, "Unbreakable" by Fireflight, "Leave Me Alone" by The Veronicas, "Why Do You Love Me" by Garbage, "Close Up" by Frou Frou, "Keeps Gettin' Better" by Christina Aguilera, "Bitch" by Meredith Brooks,
