I find more than anything, that I kind of invoke Kara's bravery when I am feeling particularly not-brave about something. I think I'll buy Kara tags when I go to D*C and then I can have one Lee and one Kara. Some other fangirls have those. It was awesome to get Lee's - the dude only had two sets.

Cool. One of the DVD sets (4.0 I think) came out in a special package from Best Buy and every set included Kara tags. So I have them from that, though I don't think I've ever worn them. Not even to D*C! Maybe this year...

I personally am much more like Lee personality wise, so, like him, I enjoy admiring Kara from a bit afar...

I can identify all the rare promo shots of Katee as Kara and know which were really filmed and which weren't.

I can identify Kara's lines in other venues. I recently read a book where the heroine said, "All right. Here we go." Just like in Captain's Hand!

You Know You're a Kara Fan When...
- When you lived in California your personalized license plate was 8757NC1 (8757NC was already taken by another fan ;-) )

- When you fought breast cancer, your motto was "Fight'em until we can't" and I'd visualize the cancer cells as cylons and me as Kara, blasting each one to hell during chemo.

- When you get in an accident, have to have emergency surgery, and lose your job and home all within the span of three months, use Kara as your example of how to carry on despite the overwhelming odds and tons of crap that keeps on happening to you.


- Lurk like a mad on LJ & FF.net for Kara & Lee fic because somedays, escaping into my favorite Starbuck & Apollo (or Katie RPF ;-D ) fic is exactly what I need to forget RL and relax!

I have, in fact, taken a picture of Katee as Starbuck to my hairstylist. ("Unfinished Business," the pic as she's going into the boxing ring.) Bonus points for me!!!

I think the most weirdly fannish thing I did was writing that ode to Kara's ponytail using the meter to "Home on the Range." It beats all the fic, I think.
