Knowing what's coming when he does find out makes this painful to read, but I'm a literary masochist anyway, so that's okay. I love that she keeps trying to tell him and getting cut off, and the Old Man wanting her to tell him about his sons.
Also: Kara feels something unfamiliar stir inside her. It feels like hope. Heartbreaking, but very in-character, for that to be a hard emotion for her to recognize.
