I feel the same way, Galactica was her home. but it's interesting that, if I remember correctly, in the daybreak during the flashbacks, she says that the rent is good. and she seems so quiet, at ease... so probably she started to hate the place after Zak's death. so maybe the point is that Kara feels at home when there is an Adama around... or at least I like to think that way.
