Oh I know caps-selection-wise, but literally on the show, I'm pretty sure they always fade out on Kara, not Lee. You see Kara's face over his shoulder/neck last (except for the Trust hug maybe which pans out from them standing there).

(I think it's because they like to show the relief/comfort in her eyes usually.)
