The Fearless Crew

The Demetrius Crew Quarters: Who should fill these seats?

A what-if for today: Imagine Kara had gotten to pick her crew for the Demetrius. Who do you think she would have chosen to go with her? (Helo's a given, right? But what about Athena? Racetrack was an obvious omission--she finds EVERYTHING!)  Tell us who you think she should have chosen and why, whether your reasons be cracky or totally serious! (Hey maybe there's someone you just want to see sweaty?)

What a cool set. It looks so real.

Hmm. Demetrius people. This may make no sense but let me get into Kara's brain for a moment.

Helo. Racetrack. Chief. Showboat. Seelix. (I still remember that cute scene with Kara, Seelix and Chief in Dirty Hands.) Matthias. The gunny who pulled her out in Sacrifice. Sammy. Jean Barolay.

Maybe Athena. I don't know. Their relationship (not sure it was always friendship) has always confused me. Just when I thought I understood it, I realized that I didn't.

Umm...I still don't understand why Lee didn't go with her. I mean, really.

*sigh*

BUT, here's my crew:
-Helo
-Athena
-Racetrack
-Hoshi
-Jean Barolay
-Showboat
-Skulls

:D
cheers.

I can't see Papadama ever letting him go, tho.

Was Barolay on the crew?

everyone you said plus Hot Dog and the guy with the tattoos!

Barolay was on the crew in the show--she got killed by the Six on the baseship and then Sam almost killed her.

:-( I try not to think about that.

Why not?

Because I don't think he had much confidence in Kara's mission, and he wouldn't have wanted to risk Lee. Plus, he never let Lee out of his sight much, as his commander.

Yeah, though I think it differs because he still would've had his hand in the game in that situation - just a ship over, and if they'd succeeded, as of course they would, he'd've been Admiral. I think Adama always needed that feeling of some sort of control over Lee's life (and welfare).
