... this is the quintessence of Kara's complexity.

and how many things come from this scene: the mandala, the father's music.

also, Kara says one of my favorite lines ever, "Kept turning off the power... something about not paying a bill" it's a little one but it says a lot about Kara's attitude toward civil society's rules.

When I see this picture I can hear her voice, "You know, I never really liked this place anyway. Air conditioning doesn't work in the summer. Heater doesn't work in the winter. The rent's a crime."

She sounded so tired. I feel like the Galactica was one of the few places that felt like home to her.

I still get thrills thinking about this scene. It was an exciting, unexpected, profound look into Kara's character. We learned so much about her here-- the art, her father, her love of music. It felt just on the border of invasive, like watching Kara pray. Because she's so secretive, and you know she doesn't tell people about these sides of her. But as viewers, we're privileged to be able to find out. :-D
