Also, yep I agree with you. I'm sure she knows none of it was her fault as well. It's just what happened because sometimes people just suck and don't know how to handle their problems.
Actually, there's this deleted scene from "Eye of Jupiter" where Dee basically calls Kara out for using her "issues" as a crutch and excuse for cheating. In a messed up kind of way she's actually paying Kara a compliment saying she knows Kara is a stronger person than that because Adama trusts her and he wouldn't trust someone who couldn't get a handle on their issues. Now the Adama thing is actually debatable.... LOL but basically Dee was just trying to tell her that she knows Kara is a strong woman who has got her crap together when she decides to despite her awful past.
And I do think for the most part it's true. Not always true - especially after all the crap with Leoben - but generally Kara has a pretty firm grip on reality despite everything she's been through.
