General fanfiction may include allusions to romantic relationships, maybe even employ romance as an element to illustrate a larger theme, but, romance, or the lack of it, should not be the point of focus for the story.

Action-Adventure, Friendship, Humor, Angst, Comfort, all of these are good categories to explore. The ladies could lead a mission, make a sacrifice, exact revenge, solve a mystery, confess a secret, come to a decision, teach a student, go on a quest, reflect on a mistake, celebrate a victory, learn a lesson, question an order, save a life, or roll the hard six (just to name a few options). The possibilities are endless.

Hey all, So the battle is over and we have 14 excellent stories about Kara to enjoy. Thank you to all the participants who wrote, read and commented! Perhaps we'll do another one in the summer if people are interested? (I'll poll first!)

Also, remember that the comm is open (now without moderation queues since I fail at checking them!) to anyone who'd like to submit Kara meta or general fic or artwork showcasing Kara. As the rules of the fic battle went, any entries can include romance and her many men but should focus mainly on Kara herself, since there are plenty of other shipper comms for our girl. I'd love to see the comm continue to remain active since there's so few Kara-centric comms and websites these days. If anyone has other challenges they want to suggest or other fun ideas of how we can keep talking about Kara, please feel free to post them here!

A Quick Note: All prompts are reproduced here as first submitted. Some seem like they'd be great for a porn battle (or perhaps that's just my dirty mind at work), so please keep in mind that in all fics produced, sex or a romantic pairing shouldn't necessarily be the FOCUS or POINT. But exploring how certain couplings and relationships affected other aspects of Kara's life or made her realize something about herself could be very interesting. Therefore a prompt like "first frak" should be about more than just the actual sex.
