A little bit rank

She killed the most toasters (including engineering the plan to take down Scar), led two successful missions back to Caprica, served various stints as both flight instructor and CAG multiple times, led her own (somewhat) successful reconnaissance mission, found Earth twice....and saved their collective and individual asses... A LOT. 

And Kara Thrace only ever made it to the rank of Captain (a promotion bestowed by not even her own commander). So what's a girl got to do to get a promotion in the Colonial Fleet, eh? 

Do you think Kara should have at least made Major? Where or when should/would she have earned these pips?

Personally, I think the successful rescue of the Caprican resistance at least should have gotten her a rank bump.
