I left that rather intentionally vague. But I think sometimes you wonder if the smallest thing had changed would you be where you are right now (esp. if you're in a bleak situation)? I think things looked especially hopeful the day of the groundbreaking, all sunny and vibrant. It was a little deceptive maybe, all that sunshine. Would she have traded her wings for a life in the grey, cold, environs of NC as it was later depicted? If it hadn't been a day so bright with the promise of fresh starts, would she have slept with Lee? Would she have married Anders? Would she have mustered out? Would she have been on the ground to be caught and caged by Leoben? I don't know. Although Leoben's insistence on patterns and cycles, might have her thinking it was inevitable anyway, hence the maybe not. And I can't see Kara having much use for "what-ifs".
And now I've written an answer longer than my drabble. Hee. (Maybe my callsign should have been Verbose instead of OneTrack)
