When the Pegasus finds Galactica, everyone's initial reaction is pleasure and a bit of relief. Kara seems excited to get new folks to interact with. ;) But the novelty wore off pretty quick...
I really liked the way they drew a line here. Kara has a lot of swagger and pride in her job but, in canon, we really don't see her bragging a lot. She postures a bit with the nuggets, telling them to refer to her as God and swatting Kat down in Scar, but that seems more about asserting her authority and less about arrogance and boastfulness. I really liked that she found something distasteful about the gloryhounding of painting your kills on your ship.

(Well, that and the fact that it's probably unlikely there would even be room on the Galactica Vipers for all the Raiders they took down!)

If Kara was the kind of person who worried about what happened after she died, she'd be the kind of person who felt the need to keep score too, in my mind.
