"Everyone I know is fighting to get back what they had. I'm fighting because I don't know how to do anything else."

"What do we do now, Captain?"

"Same thing we've always done. Fight 'em till we can't."

"Maybe I went through all that hell so I'd be ready right now, to fight and die with the only people I ever cared about."

That's awesome. I like how she finally found a reason to fight rather than a reason not to live.

Oh, Kara. Sigh.

Nice job, bb, quintessential fighting Kara summed up in three caps.

Oh, that was a gorgeous progression.

And as usual, just looking at her in "The Oath" makes me happy. I love her so much :)

You know, Katee gave an interview once -- I think maybe it was one of her phone interviews that she co-hosted with Tricia for their website? -- but anyway, I'm pretty sure she said that the only line of dialogue she was ever really uncomfortable saying was something she was supposed to say to Lee in the mutiny episodes. Katee said she tried to talk the writers out of it, and when she couldn't she said she deliberately underplayed that part of the scene in hopes that they would wind up cutting the problematic dialogue, which they did. She never specified what she was talking about, but my guess is it was this scene, because of the stuff she says about not being a ghost. I bet Katee felt like that was deliberately frakking with the audience and that it was unfair, so she tried to get it cut. That's just a total unsubstantiated guess on my part, but I think it helps explain why this part of the scene didn't make it into the episode. But it was a really beautiful line about fighting with the people she loved, so I'm sorry we lost the whole thing.
