Her expression at this moment really strikes me. I think it must have been right after they realized that one of the Raptors jumped into the center of a mountain. Sure, Kara knew the rescue was going to be risky, yet to lose some of her people before they'd even encountered any Cylons had to make the fact that she was 'trading' her crewmates lives for those of on Caprica. We know from Scar that while she doesn't outwardly show how the losses of her Galactica crewmates effect her, she deeply feels it. And here, the 'cost' of fulfilling her promise just became real.
