Not much new although I think this was the first time she's been open to playing Starbuck again at some point.

Thought the last question was kind of funny since we talked about that here once, and Katee's said before that she thought that line was sort of silly. Heh.

Also for those who don't follow her on Twitter or haven't heard, she's in the process of going back to blond hair....maybe for Sexy Evil Genius.

Wow. I'm a little amazed that she's dissing the show's peeps for selling Tricia's red dress. I mean, I agree with her point, but am just amazed that she'd openly diss them like this. Girl needs jobs, right? ;-)

You're guessing correctly! Girl, with all the comm traffic, twitter, fanfic, etc. when the heck would I have time to catch up on all the interviews? Hee. Yeah, I admire her for being so honest, but at the same time, it's a pretty gutsy move to diss the people that put you/your career on the map, you know? It's very Starbuck of her. Hee.

Ha, yeah, my panties got all in a wad after the Portland show right between DB1 and DB2/3 airing b/c Katee was so gushy about K/S...but now I love the chick for speaking her mind.

I've always loved that she just walked off the set with the stuff she wanted. LOL. It's really too bad she and Tricia didn't think to stash the red dress in the cooler with the flight suit.

And, wow, Katee saying she "misses Starbuck"? That's new and exciting!! SSWA, bb. <3

This was a NBC/Universal thing. No one involved in the production had a say in it. She's also not the only cast member to say something about it.

Honestly, I'm not surprised she said this and I agree Tricia should have gottened the damned dress. There was some confusion with that but I know one of the red dresses was auctioned off for Tricia's favorite charities.

I am someone who went to first auction and bought items from the second, It was fun but it was lining NBC's pockets. Business is business.

I find it refreshing when actors actually point at studios and say "they frakked up". Usually, they're too scared to do so.

I do too, I don't see any reason they shouldn't voice how shady "the business" can really be. I appreciate her direct honesty.

No. Not yet. Maybe in five years, but I might be too old to play her by then. I miss her.
Me too. :-(

What I admired about her was that she always spoke her mind. That was an admirable quality, to tell the truth even when you're scared.
I was just thinking about this when thinking about Kara as my favorite character. One day in a meeting whether about mission statements or some idea that I don't think is going to fly, I just want to say straight out, "I think this plan sucks."

It really is a brave thing to do. But I want to. In those words. Yup. Kara has inspired me.

[livejournal.com profile] daybreak777 I absolutely agree.

It may sound super fangirl of me to say, but THAT very thing about Kara has actually changed me as a person - even in just the last few months.

I used to be the girl that just thought those kind of things but never said them for fear of getting in trouble or putting people off. But In the last 2 months I started flat out speaking my mind - even with the tough stuff and it has transformed my relationship with my family, co-workers and friends.

At first it was tough and I got a few "What the hell has gotten into you?" comments. But now for the first time in my life people are actually listening to my opinion and taking me seriously, even if they don't agree with me.

Good for you! *high fives*

Kara would be so proud. :-) I swear one day I'm actually going to say that. I may get a lot of flak for it but I don't care. Sometimes the plan really does suck.

LOL Just make sure you have a better idea all lined up. Kinda funny to watch their face when you tell them their idea sucks but on top of that, show them that your idea is much better. :)

Good point. Always have a Plan B. But it's good to have someone like Apollo in your corner to help you execute Plan B too. I'll keep that in mind as well.

"And anyone who bought my flight suit, it wasn't my original flight suit, sorry, because I put that in a cooler and walked off set with it."

The best part about the flight suit is that the guy who paid, what, $20K? for what he thought was Starbuck's "real" flight suit was the guy running the auctions. Who insisted to me, at the second auction, that Katee had returned the suit after taking it.

Wonder what he thought when she showed up wearing it on The Big Bang Theory?
