Agreed. The way they shot that, and the way that she says "I don't belong here" speaks of such incredible desperation. :(

I agree with Shah here that this was nearly a breaking point for Kara.
Her demeanor after stabbing Leoben with the chopsticks--the way she went back and ate dinner afterwards was 'scary'--followed by her reaction to Leoben's comments on his return, then the scene at the bars.

They deleted a scene where she tries to kill herself. I always envisioned that it followed this scene--even though she was in different clothes.

The show--and fanfics--so often make the brig sound like a second home to Kara. There certainly wasn't any feeling of that here, despite how homey Leoben tried to make it.

Heh I was thinking that about the brig as I posted the pic. Hell, not just fandom but canon had a line about it being her second home I do believe (in the extended brig scene in Six of One).

I have such issues with the suicide attempt scene. sigh.

This was so very wrong. Kara should be flying among the stars and laughing. To see her caged was so wrong. :-(
