But also...it surprises me how little fic covers this "missing" time period and I guess in general how little fic dwells on Kara's journey through the Maelstrom at all. (Damn, now I want someone to write an Alice through the looking glass spoof. hee.)

Which Earth?

Once I finally got my head around both places being Earth I had a brief respite before the inconsistancies started bugging me again. The Pythian Earth, that they first reached, had the colony constellations in the correct locations. That means it has to have been the one they were standing on in the Athena's Tomb. Since that was a grassy and not radiologically devastated field it means they had to have been seeing what it was like thousands of years before.

Then Kara also saw a green, beautiful place when she fell through the storm. Since her viper ended up on Pythian Earth also she must have been seeing the same place. Maybe some time was taken up moving her through time to get back to see it again?
