Oh good. That's exactly the intent. And vice versa as well (though you get less of that since we're not privvy to Kara's thoughts). :)
I don't think Gaeta and Starbuck would have clashed that much before Collaborators. I mean I don't think they would have been great buddies necessarily, probably for a lot of the same reasons she and Dee aren't. Gaeta is more of a thinker, Kara is more of a "do-er". But I imagine they would get on fairly well enough over games of triad, etc. I do think Kara's a bit of a shark when it comes to sensing weakness though, and I think she would've found Gaeta with his eagerness to please (first Adama, then Baltar) rather weak.
