"I remember the first day I met you, Starbuck. You were puking your guts out in the head because you'd eaten bad oysters on…"
We know only a little about Kara and Sharon's relationship before the show begins. Clearly, they were friends, but how close? Was it more of a mentor-type relationship? Kara says she taught Sharon how to stick a landing (I think?) Did they go out on leave together to port? Dancing at Cloud 9 off shift? Tell us something about their friendship...or write some fic maybe? ;)

Sure, there are a few relationships that get some screen-time (Tory/Roslin, Caprica/D'anna, Kara/Athena) but none of them were very well-developed. I think that's why I was so excited by the potential of Athena-Roslin-Caprica sharing those visions. I thought we were finally going to get a major storyline between these women and then the show never followed through on it. *sighs* So much wasted potential...

Date: 2011-04-21 03:12 am (UTC)Between the physical beating and the emotional ones she'd endured leading up to this point, it seemed the last straw. And it struck me that it was Helo she was predominantly reacting to. Here he was alive when she'd thought him long dead, and not only was he protecting a Cylon but claiming that she was pregnant with him as the father to be.
The fact that it was Sharon, someone she had trained and teased--and left back with an unsuspecting fleet--just tipped her over the edge, IMO.
