I don't know if I would say it was a failed experiment. I think you make a valid point in saying there isn't enough "Kara is amazing" fic/vids/etc. I know I ended up vetoing everything I thought of for posting b/c of the large doses of angst/shipping/destiny involved. So...I dunno...at least you brought the topic to the table for us to ponder.

Also, FWIW, photos are always good. It keeps the comm running without you having to post huge entries with minimal response, which really isn't fair to you. I wonder also if there's an "every day is Kara day" sentiment that some of us carry with us but don't necessarily express because it's become kinda like breathing...it just is. Hmmm...

I guess. I don't know, it's hard not to compare to other character-centric comms that seem...a lot more active. Makes me sad sometimes, but I know people are busy, etc. etc. I wasn't even around much yesterday b/c of some unexpected things cropping up. Ah well. (Possibly this comm is just too late.)

Sometimes it's just too much to 'do' anything in the evenings after a frakkin' long day at work. Doesn't mean I don't appreciate having a place to come and celebrate and share the love with other fans of Starbuck.

I understand. I guess with all the activity we often have at No_Takebacks, I maybe have unreasonable expectations for this comm (which has a lot less members and...a lot less vocal members? I guess. IDK).

You mean yesterday? I actually wrote a tiny ficlet for it (you're right there is fewer non-angsty Kara things out there) but it needs some work. I wish I could churn 'em out in one day but even the teeniest fic needs a few days.

I do not think this comm is too late! Commenting on photos is just faster than writing or tagging fics for recs, that's all.

We still love Kara! At least I do. :-)

I for one love coming to this comm and seeing all the different celebrations of Starbuck. I did get caught up in RL the last couple of days, but the Kara is Awesome post really got me thinking. I need a bit more time to organize and process these thoughts (I'm so out of practice with the whole thinking business) before I can come up with something half as great as what you guys have on here every day. Thanks for doing this and for tirelessly keeping Kara Thrace alive and kicking!

PS I shot an M1A rifle today and was totally channeling my inner Starbuck bad ass the whole time.

Yay! I'm glad. We'll have another planned ficathon of some sort maybe later this year...if people are into it. I was excited to see all the votes for the headers, and like I said, other comms I belong to get super active with drabble writing and just character analysis and sometimes I forget that this comm...just doesn't work that way it seems.
