This expression that she makes when Lee spits out the cigar tip always struck me as a very Katee thing to do. I have it my head that Starbuck would do the exact same thing as Lee!

(Of course it took me about three watchings to even see it. I was, ahem, caught up in other things.)

I always thought she makes that expression when Lee spits the cigar because it is something that Starbuck would do... not Lee.

I always had the feeling that Kara was so beset by different emotions in this scene that this was more an expression of that duality of joy, relief, and a touch of anger/fear at how close a call Apollo had with his harebrained move.

*sigh* Few actors can convey with a look as much as Katee does.

She's absolutely amazing, Katee is. I remember someone once saying that if you screencapped thirty seconds worth of footage of her face, you'd find something different in each cap - she is that expressive.

This reminds me a of her look in the miniseries when she realizes Lee isn't dead. So much going on there, and she doesn't need a single word to convey it.

It's criminal that she was never nominated for an Emmy, but award shows have questionable and mostly-mainstream taste anyway.
